India: Public Relations Senior Account Executive

As Senior Account Executive, you will take on greater ownership of day-to-day account delivery, working with increasing independence across media relations, content, and campaign execution. You will be a reliable point of contact for clients on routine matters and a dependable pair of hands for senior team members on more complex work. This role suits someone who has built a solid foundation in PR and is ready to deepen their expertise, sharpen their media relationships, and begin contributing to the wider success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Execution

  • Take ownership of day-to-day execution across a portfolio of accounts, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
  • Draft and refine press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, and client reports with a growing degree of independence.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyse results, and present findings to clients with clear commentary.
  • Maintain and develop media databases, building a detailed understanding of key journalists across your clients' sectors.
  • Track industry trends and proactively surface relevant opportunities or issues for the team and clients.
  • Support senior team members in preparing for client meetings, including research, materials, and follow-up.

Media Relations

  • Develop and maintain active relationships with journalists and editors across your clients' sectors.
  • Pitch stories with confidence and follow up strategically to maximise coverage.
  • Prepare and coordinate media interviews, briefing documents, and follow-up materials.

Content

  • Produce high-quality written content across formats -press releases, bylines, pitches, social copy, and internal communications.
  • Contribute meaningfully to brainstorms and campaign planning sessions, bringing well-researched ideas to the table.

Agency Responsibilities

  • Support the team on events, activations, and newbusiness preparation where required.
  • Uphold Ellerton & Co.'s values of integrity, creativity, and client excellence.
  • Use Generative AI tools effectively for research, drafting, and planning - with appropriate oversight.
Requirements
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in public relations or communications (agency background preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable media relationships and a track record of securing coverage in target publications.
  • Strong writing skills across PR formats, with anability to adapt tone for different clients and audiences.
  • Comfortable managing multiple accounts and deadlines ina fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is anadvantage.
  • Open to working across markets and developing knowledgeof Southeast Asia.
