India: Public Relations Account Manager

As Account Manager, you will serve as the primary day-to-day lead across a portfolio of accounts, managing client relationships, driving campaign delivery, and beginning to contribute to new business. You will work closely with senior leaders while taking clear ownership of execution and results. This role suits a PR professional who is ready to step fully into account leadership - someone with strong media relationships, sound strategic instincts, and the confidence to advise clients as well as execute for them.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Execution

  • Act as the primary day-to-day client contact, maintaining clear and consistent communication between clients and the account team.
  • Develop and oversee integrated PR programmes that are grounded in your clients' business objectives and deliver measurable results.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery across all outputs -press releases, media pitches, events, thought leadership, and reporting.
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to clients, providing strategic counsel on communications challenges and opportunities.
  • Monitor media coverage and industry developments,translating insights into action for clients.
  • Use Generative AI tools effectively for planning, research, ideation, content creation and daily operations.

Media Relations

  • Maintain strong, active relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers across your clients' sectors.
  • Develop media strategies and write compelling pitches that consistently generate high-quality coverage.
  • Respond swiftly and strategically to media queries and inbound opportunities.

Content

  • Lead content development across formats - press releases, bylines, executive messaging, briefing notes, and campaign materials.
  • Drive creative and strategic thinking in brainstorms,bringing well-researched, client-relevant ideas.

India & International Client Focus

  • Deliver best-in-class PR for India-based clients as well as international brands looking to build reputation and visibility in India.
  • Develop a working knowledge of Southeast Asia markets to support cross-border mandates where required.

Business Development

  • Work closely with senior leaders on new businessopportunities, contributing to pitches and proposals.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to grow existingaccounts.
  • Build a strong understanding of the agency's serviceoffering and represent it confidently to prospective clients.

Talent Development

  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and day-to-day guidance to junior team members.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

Agency Responsibilities

  • Be a brand ambassador for Ellerton & Co.
  • Stay updated on our tools, capabilities and network.
  • Uphold our values of integrity, creativity and client excellence.
  • Use Generative AI tools effectively for planning, research, ideation, content creation and daily operations.
Requirements
  • 6 to 9 years of experience in public relations orcommunications (agency background preferred).
  • Proven track record managing client accounts independently and delivering strong media results.
  • Experience working with corporate, technology, or financial services clients; exposure to international brands entering new markets is a strong plus.
  • Strong writing, media relations, events planning, andstrategic thinking skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regional environment and open to developing knowledge of Southeast Asia markets.
